The physical room wins on feel, on knowing whether the waistband digs in, and on trying five things in ten minutes.

How to run the test properly
Do not roll it out across the whole catalog on day one and then argue about attribution. Pick one collection where returns hurt most, usually a higher-price category, enable try-on there, and leave the rest of the store alone as a control. Give it a full return window, typically 30 days, before reading the result.
