DrapX + Klaviyo: The Ultimate Fashion Growth Stack

"Try-on data is the most intentful signal your store collects. Here is how the one-click Klaviyo integration syncs it, and the flows worth building on top of it."

Virtual try-on generates a signal most fashion brands never had: which specific shopper tried on which specific garment. Pipe that into Klaviyo and you have the most intentful segmentation data in your stack, stronger than page views and stronger than carts.

Why Try-On Data Beats Browse Data

A product page view is curiosity; a try-on is a rehearsal of ownership. Someone who rendered themselves in your $120 jacket and didn't buy is the warmest lead your store produced that day. DrapX captures leads during the try-on flow (on every plan, including Free), so those shoppers stop being anonymous.

Flows Worth Building

  • Tried-on-but-didn't-buy: a recovery email featuring the exact garment they tried, within 24 hours.
  • Try-on abandoners with a size-help angle: 'Not sure about fit? Here's the size chart.'
  • Post-purchase cross-sell: 'You tried these three items. The one you didn't buy is back in stock.'
  • VIP segment: shoppers with 3+ try-ons in 30 days get early access to drops.

How to Connect It Today

The native Klaviyo integration shipped in August 2026, so this no longer involves exports. Open the Integrations page in the DrapX app, connect Klaviyo through OAuth (there are no API keys to generate or paste), and pick the list captured emails should land in. From then on DrapX syncs four things: widget emails as Klaviyo profiles with consent recorded, a "DrapX Virtual Try-On Completed" event carrying the product and the try-on result image, share events, and orders attributed to a try-on.

Each of those event types has its own on/off switch, so you can start with completions only and add the rest once your flows are working. You can test the connection, pause the sync, or disconnect entirely from the same page. On the compliance side, customer deletion requests are forwarded to Klaviyo automatically, so a GDPR erasure request against your store does not leave an orphaned profile behind.

The Result Image Is the Part People Miss

Because the completion event carries a link to the try-on image, your abandoned-try-on email can show the shopper wearing the garment rather than the flat product shot everyone else sends. That is a materially different email: it is not a reminder of a product, it is a picture of them in it. Full details in the August 2026 release notes.

If You Do Not Use Klaviyo

The same August release added a native Shopify Flow trigger, "Try-on completed", carrying the customer, product title, product ID, and try-on image link. That covers tagging, internal alerts, and follow-up sequences without leaving Shopify. There is also an opt-in setting that turns captured widget emails into customer records in your own Shopify admin, tagged DrapX Try-On, matched by email so existing customers are tagged rather than duplicated. All of it is on every plan, including Free.
