Now Supporting Footwear & Eyewear Virtual Try-On

"We've upgraded our AI models to support realistic virtual try-on for shoes, sneakers, and glasses."

Now Supporting Footwear & Eyewear Virtual Try-On | DrapX AI Blog

DrapX now supports virtual try-on for footwear and eyewear. Shoppers can see sneakers, boots, and glasses rendered on themselves with the same physics-aware realism, and the same roughly 9-second speed, as apparel.

What's New

  • Footwear: sneakers, boots, heels, and sandals rendered with correct perspective, ground contact, and lighting.
  • Eyewear: glasses and sunglasses fitted to face geometry with accurate scale and lens rendering.
  • Same flow, same widget: no new setup. Supported products simply start offering try-on.

Why These Categories Are Different

Shoes and glasses fail differently than clothing: the question isn't drape, it's proportion. 'Will these look too bulky on me?', 'does this frame suit my face?' Rendering them convincingly required teaching the engine foot pose and facial geometry rather than fabric physics, which is why we shipped them as a dedicated upgrade.

What It Means for Multi-Category Stores

Merchants selling full outfits can now offer try-on across the whole look. Early data mirrors apparel: categories with proportion anxiety see the biggest conversion response, because that anxiety was previously unanswerable online.
